Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead (3-4 month contract) – Remote

About the role

Join FullStack's talent network as a Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead for a 3‑4 month remote engagement, working directly with a client’s design and engineering team. You will drive backend architecture, mentor engineers, and deliver high‑scale API solutions for mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical direction and architecture for Backend‑for‑Frontend (BFF) systems and API middleware.
• Design, implement, and secure scalable microservices and event‑driven architectures for high‑traffic e‑commerce applications.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners, and external vendors in client‑facing interactions.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable deployment on AWS services.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in technical leadership influencing architecture.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven ability to take extreme ownership and work autonomously in remote teams.

Required skills

• Node.js and TypeScript.
• AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront).
• MongoDB and backend deployment pipeline optimization.
• Salesforce OCAPI/API, CMS integration, and mobile‑specific third‑party integrations.
• AI development tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex for LLM integration.
• Agile/Scrum methodology and CI/CD practices.
