About the role
The Kitchen Staff member will prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, support serving lines, and assist with occasional catering events. This role involves working in a fast‑paced cafeteria environment, ensuring food is prepared safely and presented attractively.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and maintain serving lines, keeping food at required temperatures.
- Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes, including baking breads, cakes, and cookies.
- Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including kitchen, cafeteria, and dishwashing stations.
- Manage inventory using FIFO procedures and keep cooler/storage racks tidy.
- Record production data, temperature logs, and follow HACCP and CACFP regulations.
- Serve items with correct portions, utensils, and presentation.
- Participate in safety programs, meetings, and required training.
Required profile
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Attention to detail for temperature monitoring and accurate record‑keeping.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment.
- Willingness to work onsite and collaborate with the kitchen team.
