Spanish ↔ English Medical & Legal Interpreter (Remote)

About the role

INTELEX is looking for a bilingual Spanish‑English interpreter to support medical and legal communications on a 100% remote basis. You will enable patients, attorneys, and service providers to exchange information accurately and promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation between Spanish and English in medical and legal contexts.
• Use correct medical and legal terminology while maintaining cultural sensitivity.
• Facilitate over‑the‑phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) sessions as well as scheduled appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 months of professional interpretation experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in either medical or legal interpreting.
• Availability for full‑time, part‑time, or 24/7 shift work.
• Strong listening, note‑taking, and memory retention abilities.

Required skills

• HIPAA‑compliant remote work setup.
• Wired USB headset with noise‑cancellation.
• Internet connection of at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download.
