Senior AI Engineer – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and ship pipelines that connect to large‑language‑model (LLM) providers and drive internal AI initiatives. You will work remotely, collaborating with a global team of top‑tier engineers to build agentic systems that reason, plan, and act.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement pipelines integrating with LLM providers and platforms.
• Lead AI‑driven projects from concept through production.
• Build agentic systems involving tool use, agent loops, function calling, and structured outputs.
• Utilize AI coding agents to accelerate delivery while ensuring code quality.
• Maintain full accountability for the codebase and support CI/CD processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and hands‑on experience with Python.
• Deep expertise in agentic system design (tool use, loops, function calling, reasoning models).
• Experience with RESTful API development and integrations.
• Comfort using AI‑assisted coding daily.
• Background with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, or Bedrock (Anthropic a plus).
• Advanced proficiency in English.
