Responsable de Operaciones y Mantenimiento (OyM)

About the role

The Operations & Maintenance Manager (OyM) will lead the technical and administrative management of a petroleum project, ensuring continuous service, financial profitability, and excellent client relations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operation and maintenance activities, supervising the OyM Supervisor to follow the master plan and minimize plant downtime.
• Manage the assigned budget, control OPEX, and oversee petty cash to guarantee contract profitability.
• Act as the main liaison with the operating company’s regulatory team, handling contractual requirements and incident resolution.
• Validate production measurements, daily reports, valuations, and progress reports to ensure timely invoicing without penalties.
• Coordinate logistics for critical supplies, tools, spare parts, and third‑party contracts to maintain operational continuity.
• Work with HR to manage personnel schedules, rest periods, leaves, certifications, discipline, and compliance with internal regulations.
• Prepare and present periodic executive performance reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum & Gas Engineering, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Project Management (PMI), Business Administration or Hydrocarbon Asset Management.
• At least 2 years in plant management, project leadership, operations coordination or field residency within oil‑service companies.
• Willingness to travel and work 21‑day shifts in Bermejo, Tarija.
