Maintenance Technician

About the role

Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep its multifamily properties safe, functional, and welcoming. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and make‑ready work to ensure residents enjoy a high‑quality living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, pools and other systems.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain common areas and grounds by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and minor painting tasks.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.
• Track inventory, order supplies, and follow safety and regulatory procedures on all tasks.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Hands‑on skills in plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliance and pool maintenance.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred; CPO certification a plus.
• Reliable transportation, on‑call availability for emergencies, and a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
