Lead Software Engineer – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

Coforge is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of high‑quality, scalable software solutions for its LATAM customers. This remote position offers the chance to shape architecture, mentor a team, and influence technical direction across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end development of enterprise‑grade applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and engineering quality metrics.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Make architectural decisions around APIs, integrations, performance, and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps processes to improve delivery speed and reliability.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record in technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English, able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working in Agile environments and driving continuous improvement.
