Junior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Unosquare is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of digital banking web and mobile applications. The role blends UI and API automation, manual testing, SQL validation, and security awareness within an Agile team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile platforms using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium or Cypress.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and fellow QA engineers to define test strategies and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute manual and automated test cases, log defects and verify fixes.
• Validate test data and backend results using SQL queries.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups and retrospectives.
• Monitor application performance, reliability and compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least two years of software quality assurance experience with a focus on automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL for test data validation.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
