Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through immaculate cleanliness and visual presentation onboard. This role ensures premium service standards are met consistently and oversees all housekeeping operations on the ship.

Key responsibilities

• Own the guest experience related to cleanliness and visual impressions throughout the vessel.
• Maintain full accountability for cabin and public area upkeep, ensuring flawless service delivery.
• Establish and sustain a positive work environment, communicating performance expectations clearly.
• Lead training, development, and recognition initiatives for supervisors and crew members.
• Maintain a strong floor presence to guarantee consistent execution of housekeeping duties.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety, quality, environmental, brand, SQM, and USPH standards.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years progressive housekeeping managerial experience, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, safety procedures, PPE, and job safety analysis.
• Understanding of talent assessment, quality service standards, guest satisfaction, crew development, and leadership coaching.
• Familiarity with human resources policies and practices.
• Proficiency with computers, internet, and common software applications.
