Executive Board Member – LATAM Region

About the role

The Council of International Chambers of Commerce (CICC) seeks an experienced Executive Board Member for the Latin America (LATAM) region. This volunteer, fully remote position provides strategic leadership and regional insight to advance CICC’s mission of economic development, trade facilitation and investment promotion across Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in regular board meetings and contribute to policy, governance and strategic discussions.
• Review and advise on proposals, projects, trade missions and conferences involving LATAM countries.
• Identify key sectors, partnerships and investment opportunities in the region.
• Build and maintain relationships with public and private stakeholders, including governments, financial institutions and industry groups.
• Promote CICC programs and represent the organization in regional and international forums.
• Collaborate with other board members and committees to ensure alignment with CICC’s global strategy.

Required profile

• Proven strategic leadership and governance experience, such as serving on boards, advisory councils or senior executive roles.
• Deep knowledge of Latin American markets, economic development, trade and investment environments.
• Strong business development and partnership‑building background with government agencies, financial institutions and industry organisations.
• Commitment to inclusive, sustainable development and support for emerging markets.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to dedicate sufficient time to board duties on a volunteer basis and work effectively in a fully remote setting.
