About the role

Grupo Nueva Economía is seeking an exceptional young economist to join its Research and Analysis Unit. The role offers a fast‑track path to leadership, allowing the successful candidate to contribute to the country’s economic discourse while developing a professional trajectory within a transforming organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct economic and business situation analyses.
• Design and execute special research projects and sector‑specific studies.
• Develop and maintain corporate and sectoral rankings.
• Build, clean, and analyze large economic databases.
• Identify emerging trends and topics relevant to Bolivia’s economy.
• Produce high‑value content for publications, platforms, and discussion forums.
• Prepare analyses for interviews, panels, and public debates.
• Engage with entrepreneurs, economists, academics, international organizations, and other key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (preferably with a master’s degree) beginning a professional career.
• Demonstrated academic excellence (e.g., summa cum laude or equivalent).
• Strong economic analysis, research, and data‑handling capabilities.
• Structured thinking, independent judgment, and ability to formulate relevant questions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Leadership potential, initiative, and willingness to assume responsibility.
• High interpersonal and institutional relationship skills.
• Ability to present and defend ideas clearly and convincingly.
• Intellectual curiosity, autonomy, and results‑orientation.
• Advanced English proficiency (highly valued).
