About the role
Save the Children International in Bolivia is seeking a Project Coordinator for the Gender Empowerment & Green Skills for Transformative Adolescent and Youth Resilience (G‑STAR) initiative. Based in La Paz, the coordinator will lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and closure of the project, ensuring high quality and compliance with donor and corporate standards.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate all phases of the G‑STAR project, including planning, execution, programmatic and financial‑administrative management, monitoring, evaluation and close‑out.
- Ensure alignment with the project logical framework and the national poverty‑reduction strategy.
- Facilitate active participation of partner organisations, municipal authorities and community actors.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
- Lead data collection, analysis and reporting for project performance and impact.
- Represent Save the Children in networks, platforms and stakeholder meetings.
Required profile
- Post‑graduate or higher degree in project management, human rights, social sciences or related fields.
- At least 6 years of experience in project management and 4 years in coordination of early‑childhood or youth‑focused programmes.
- Experience with adolescent development, employability or entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Background in gender‑based project design, community development and violence‑prevention.
- Willingness to travel frequently to municipalities in the La Paz department and to work in emergency contexts.
Required skills
- Program Management Methodology (PMM) certification – desirable.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as PRIME or similar.
- Strong budgetary and financial control skills, especially with donor‑funded projects.
