Senior .NET Developer & Tech Lead (Angular)

About the role

We are seeking a Tech Lead to drive the technical direction of a .NET team building web APIs and internal applications for a US‑based client. The role is hands‑on, with the candidate spending a large part of the week coding while also guiding design decisions and mentoring junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain REST APIs using ASP.NET Core, from data modelling to deployment.
• Define and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews and mentor the team.
• Make architecture decisions on data access (EF Core, LINQ, raw SQL), caching and service boundaries.
• Own the SQL Server database layer: schema design, stored procedures, indexing and query tuning.
• Guide asynchronous and multithreaded development (async/await, Task‑based patterns).
• Manage Azure components such as App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate work and raise technical concerns.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years with C#/.NET and 2+ years leading a team.
• Strong grasp of OOP, SOLID principles and HTTP/Web fundamentals.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server, advanced T‑SQL, Entity Framework and performance optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and troubleshooting solutions on Azure.
• Proven ability to lead, give feedback, run planning sessions and resolve team conflicts.
• Fluent written and spoken English for daily client interaction.
