UX/UI Designer (Contract)

About the role

Outliers (WAO) is a digital and strategic communications agency working with clients in the UK and US across finance, mining and technology, designing and building apps, investor platforms, websites and brand systems. It is building a vetted network of designers and developers in Santa Cruz de la Sierra to work on its client projects. This is a contract role: you are matched to projects as they start, and the strongest people move into ongoing work.

Key responsibilities

• Design web and mobile products end to end: user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI and prototypes
• Build and maintain design systems in Figma and hand them off cleanly to developers
• Work directly with the UK, US and India team, and on some projects with clients in English
• Turn complex information such as financial data, maps and investor content into clear, simple interfaces

Required profile

• 2+ years of UX/UI or product design experience
• A portfolio with real web or mobile work (required)
• Good written and spoken English
• Based in Santa Cruz de la Sierra

Required skills

• Strong Figma skills: components, auto-layout and prototyping
• Nice to have: design systems experience, motion or interaction design, experience with US or European clients, basic understanding of front-end code

What we offer

• USD-based pay on client projects
• Work on international products for listed companies and startups
• Flexible, mostly remote work, with in-person time in Santa Cruz de la Sierra
