Transport Expert – Global Gateway Project (Talent Pool)

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a talent pool of experienced transport professionals to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. The pool will provide short‑term technical assistance worldwide, focusing on Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia‑Pacific, with contracts starting in January 2027 for up to 48 months.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prepare, appraise and implement transport and connectivity projects.
• Conduct prefeasibility, feasibility, technical, economic and financial studies.
• Support transport infrastructure planning, design, rehabilitation, modernization and investment planning.
• Assist public authorities in policy, strategy, regulatory framework and sector reform development.
• Prepare investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Advise on sustainable, low‑carbon, smart, safe, resilient and inclusive transport solutions.
• Promote multimodal transport, logistics connectivity and integration of transport modes.
• Assess investment climates, identify PPP opportunities and support procurement, tendering and contract management.
• Facilitate coordination among public authorities, EU delegations, IFIs, private sector and development partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transport, infrastructure, mobility, logistics, connectivity or related sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: road and highway infrastructure, rail, maritime, aviation, urban mobility, logistics, or transport policy.
• Experience working with international donors, development agencies or public‑sector clients is preferred.
