Technical QA Associate

About the role

The Technical QA Associate acts as the gatekeeper of deployment stability, ensuring that new software releases meet quality standards before they reach production. You will validate functional requirements, set up test environments, and provide rapid feedback to help senior engineers focus on architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Execute test plans to confirm that new features align with product requirements.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge‑case bugs that automated tools may miss.
• Document defects in Jira with clear technical details and verify fixes with developers.
• Configure user data and system states in admin portals to prepare test environments.
• Collaborate with engineers to define and implement automated data‑seeding scripts.
• Conduct daily health checks on testing environments to ensure consistency.
• Provide immediate test results to the TPM for go/no‑go release decisions.
• Maintain test documentation and follow established defect‑reporting workflows.
• Identify manual test scenarios that could be automated and flag them for prioritisation.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in a technical or analytical role such as testing, support, or product‑adjacent positions.
• Strong organizational abilities and comfort working with complex software systems.
• Ability to manage test data and environment configurations efficiently.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Postman for API testing.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data verification.
• Understanding of API concepts.
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking.
