Strategic Resource Management Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an analytical, organized, and collaborative professional to serve as a Strategic Resource Management Consultant. In this role you will support the implementation of an IT Financial Management tool, handling financial and resource planning, IT cost optimization, promotion of operational excellence, and the measurement of strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring product‑level OKRs and ensure alignment with institutional and business priorities.
• Collaborate with product teams to align operating methodologies, prioritization decisions and budget allocation across RUN, GROW and TRANSFORM initiatives.
• Support governance processes for prioritization and funding decisions, maintaining consistency with approved budget frameworks.
• Prepare executive reports and dashboards on budget execution, investment performance and cost transparency.
• Support the implementation and adoption of the IT Financial Management (ITFM) tool, and assist in the preparation, allocation and monitoring of capital and administrative budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in analytical, financial or cost management, strategy support and technology‑related competencies.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written; additional knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.
• Citizenship of an IDB member country and eligibility to work without sponsorship.
• No family members up to the fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity employed at IDB, IDB Invest or IDB Lab.
