Senior Software Engineer – Control Plane & Orchestration (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients on control‑plane and orchestration projects. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers to deliver high‑performance, cloud‑native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate into client teams and contribute to design, development, and delivery of large‑scale distributed systems.
• Develop and maintain platform APIs consumed by multiple internal or external engineering groups.
• Design robust RESTful APIs with strong reliability, idempotency, and versioning.
• Build event‑driven or message‑driven architectures and implement asynchronous workflows.
• Design and operate highly available backend services on Kubernetes, including Operators, Controllers, and CRDs.
• Manage multi‑tenant and air‑gapped Kubernetes environments and support multi‑cluster deployments.
• Deploy and run cloud‑native applications in production, implementing storage solutions (object, file, block, container).
• Implement observability (metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring) and collaborate closely with SRE teams.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps methodologies for reliable deployments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with control‑plane and orchestration systems.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven track record designing large‑scale distributed systems and platform APIs.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (Operators, Controllers, CRDs) and multi‑tenant environments.
• Hands‑on experience building event‑driven architectures and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience deploying cloud‑native applications and implementing observability solutions.
• Familiarity with IaC, GitOps, and collaboration with SRE teams.
