Senior Full Stack & Backend Engineer (Node.js, TypeScript) – Remote

About the role

Bluelight is seeking a senior full‑stack and backend engineer to design and deliver high‑performance, low‑latency API services for its growing client base. The role is fully remote, focused on Latin America, and offers the chance to work on complex, multi‑tenant systems in a fast‑paced consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Build and optimize low‑latency services on AWS, including containerized deployments with Fargate/ECS.
• Implement secure multi‑tenant architectures with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, Row‑Level Security, and raw SQL migrations.
• Integrate third‑party SDKs and services, ensuring robust error handling and fault‑injection testing.
• Collaborate with frontend teams, contributing React code when needed.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work overlapping US business hours.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
