Senior Data Engineer (Python & Power BI) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Python and Power BI expertise to join our client’s team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work closely with designers and engineers, delivering data pipelines, transformations, and visualisations for healthcare‑related data.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate directly into the client’s development team and collaborate daily with designers and engineers.
• Design, build, and maintain production‑grade data pipelines and integration workflows.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations to meet business needs.
• Write efficient SQL queries and implement robust data models.
• Ensure continuous integration and delivery of data engineering applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to code libraries.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Experience with healthcare or health‑related data is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership and solve complex technical problems.
• Experience working on large, complex systems within Agile teams.

Required skills

• Python for data engineering, processing, transformation and automation.
• Power BI for dashboard and report creation.
• SQL and strong understanding of data modeling and database concepts.
• Data pipelines, data transformation and data integration in production environments.
• Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
