Regional Finance Director

About the role

The Regional Finance Director will provide strategic finance, procurement, compliance and operational support to multiple countries implementing Operation Smile programs. This senior position oversees financial planning, budgeting, fiscal oversight and offers management support to country leadership and program teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and financial performance trackers aligned with regional strategic priorities.
• Prepare management accounts, periodic reconciliations, and ensure timely internal and external financial reporting.
• Drive procurement and contracting processes to achieve value‑for‑cost across regional and country initiatives.
• Support risk‑management, audit activities and compliance with international and local financial reporting standards.
• Provide mentorship, training and technical assistance to in‑country finance and accounting staff.
• Produce donor, partner and other periodic reports, and conduct cost‑analysis of programs and projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum seven years of relevant experience, preferably in the nonprofit or international development sector.
• Fluent English and additional regional languages.
• Proven ability to work across cultures and travel within the region and internationally.
