About the role

The Institute TUMI seeks a high‑performance Medical Specialist in Sports Medicine to provide comprehensive clinical care for athletes and patients engaged in exercise, recovery, or performance programs. The role focuses on improving health, accelerating recovery, and optimizing physical performance through thorough assessments and personalized clinical follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed medical evaluations of athletes and patients participating in sport‑related programs.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment and performance plans.
• Utilize advanced exercise physiology knowledge to manage cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, and functional aspects of sport.
• Collaborate closely with physical trainers, physiotherapists, and other health professionals.
• Apply and interpret data from sport‑specific technologies such as ergoespirometry, bioimpedance, surface electromyography, jump platforms, dynamometry, and VALD equipment.
• Provide medical support for high‑altitude environments and a variety of sports disciplines.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a current professional registration.
• Formal specialization in Sports Medicine or Deportology (minimum three years).
• Proven experience in medical evaluation, care, and follow‑up of athletes or exercise‑related patients.
• Strong knowledge of exercise physiology and its application to sport.
• Willingness to relocate to La Paz and work on an exclusive, full‑time basis.
