Jefe Contable

About the role

The company is seeking a Jefe Contable who will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The role involves overseeing monthly accounting closures, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate cost allocation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly accounting closing activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Control balance‑sheet account statements.
• Review and supervise the work of the accounting assistant.
• Execute key reconciliations and controls (taxes, cost of sales, payroll, suppliers, customers, banks).
• Ensure proper expense allocation by cost centers and accounting codes.
• Handle monthly tax filings and informational regimes submitted to the tax authority (banking, purchase/sale reporting, payroll tax, etc.).
• Prepare tax annexes for submission to the tax authority.
• Prepare payments through banking platforms.
• Support the CFO in meeting local and head‑office requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Economics, Financial Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions.
• Intermediate to advanced English (written and oral).
• Analytical and proactive mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Organizational and planning capabilities.
