Java Specialist (Part‑time, Remote)

About the role

CM Innovations is looking for a Java Specialist to design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications that support event planning, logistics, and client communication. This part‑time, fully remote position offers flexibility while requiring reliable availability during agreed working hours and virtual meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Code and test new features for event‑management tools.
• Troubleshoot application issues and optimise performance.
• Integrate third‑party services and APIs into existing workflows.
• Collaborate with event planners and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Document code, processes, and support procedures.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Java and object‑oriented design.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in event‑management or CRM software is a plus.
