About the role

Caral Energía Renovable y Sostenible is seeking a full‑time remote Energy Storage Engineer (BESS) to design, size, and optimise battery energy storage systems for distributed generation and renewable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical and economic feasibility studies for BESS projects.
• Model system performance and conduct load‑profile and cost‑benefit analyses.
• Prepare engineering documentation such as single‑line diagrams, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners during project development, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Monitor operational performance, analyse data, and propose improvements to increase reliability, efficiency and lifecycle cost.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, renewable energy systems, and energy‑storage technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related field.
• Experience designing and modelling BESS solutions using electrical design, simulation and sizing tools.
• Ability to conduct technical and economic analyses and prepare detailed engineering documentation.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish; working knowledge of English is a plus.
