Head of Operations

About the role

As the Head of Operations at Yango, you will shape the strategic direction, growth and performance of the core mobility business. You will define the long‑term vision, build high‑performing teams and ensure operational excellence to scale the ride‑hailing platform sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute supply strategy to drive market growth, driver and user engagement.
• Anticipate market dynamics and design initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Represent operations in local leadership discussions and align goals with overall business strategy.
• Oversee driver acquisition, onboarding, retention and loyalty programs.
• Lead data‑driven process improvements to optimise costs, maximise ROI and drive cashless payment adoption.
• Monitor supply performance metrics and ensure consistent achievement of operational targets.
• Build, manage and mentor a team of operations project managers, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply, Product and other functions to align initiatives and ensure market success.
• Use advanced analytics to set KPIs, create dashboards and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in growth, operations, consulting or strategy, preferably in ride‑hailing, logistics or tech.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑functional teams and scaling businesses.
• Experience launching and growing new markets or products.
• Fluency in English and Spanish with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, data‑driven decision making and comfort in fast‑paced environments.
