DevOps Engineer (Data Services & Linux) – Remote – Latin America

About the role

FullStack is looking for a DevOps Engineer specialized in data services and Linux to join a U.S. client’s team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work closely with designers and engineers, ensuring reliable infrastructure and smooth delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and secure Linux servers, including patching, Active Directory integration, backups, and monitoring.
• Administer relational databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) – configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash, and support build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Spring, and NodeJS.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet or Chef.
• Design, build, and manage containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines with Docker, GitLab CI, Artifactory, and Git.
• Set up enterprise monitoring and logging with platforms like Splunk or Dynatrace.
• Document processes, contribute to shared libraries, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams on large, complex systems.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional DevOps experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Strong background in Linux systems administration and database management.
• Hands‑on experience with scripting, IaC tools, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
