Data Platform Engineer (Databricks) – Remote – Latin America

About the role

FullStack is looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer specialized in Databricks to join a U.S. client’s team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work side‑by‑side with designers and engineers, delivering end‑to‑end data solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Databricks workspaces on AWS in enterprise settings.
• Automate Databricks jobs, clusters, and serving endpoints using REST APIs and Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Design reusable GitHub Actions workflows and CI/CD pipelines across multiple repositories.
• Implement automated code quality and security checks (SQLFluff, PyLint, etc.).
• Manage Unity Catalog access controls, data lineage, and RBAC policies.
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for data platforms.
• Architect scalable, reliable, and cost‑efficient multi‑environment data solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Extensive experience with Databricks on AWS.
• Proven track record using Terraform and IaC.
