Comprador – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Church of Jesus Christ is looking for a dedicated Purchaser to manage all acquisition activities within the assigned area. The role involves negotiating contracts, securing goods and services, and ensuring the best value, quality, and cost for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for goods and services, complying with organizational policies.
• Continuously research the Bolivian market to identify and develop new suppliers, products, and technologies.
• Build proactive relationships with internal customers, understand their needs, and keep them informed of progress.
• Analyze proposals and recommend solutions based on total value, considering cost, quality, technical compliance, timelines, warranties, and risks.
• Plan and lead commercial negotiations and evaluate supplier performance and capabilities.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Economics or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, negotiation, or supplier management.
• Experience researching markets and developing suppliers, preferably with knowledge of the Bolivian market.
• Ability to analyze costs, negotiate commercial terms and make data‑driven recommendations.
• Intermediate English proficiency and willingness to travel; driver’s license is a plus.
