Bilingual Medical Interpreter – Spanish/English (Remote)

About the role

I-Call International is seeking qualified Spanish‑English medical interpreters to work remotely on a shift‑based schedule. You will enable clear communication between Spanish‑speaking patients and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate conveyance of medical information.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and patient information accurately during consecutive calls.
• Provide cultural mediation to help patients navigate the healthcare system and assist providers in understanding cultural nuances.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and document each interpretation session (date, time, duration, type).

Required profile

• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Experience in interpretation or translation, preferably in a medical setting.
• Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• USB wired headset with boom mic and noise‑cancellation (grey/black recommended).
• Reliable PC (Core i3 10th gen / i5 6th gen / i7 4th gen or newer) with at least 8 GB RAM.
• Stable Ethernet (LAN) connection, 10‑20 Mbps download/upload, latency under 150 ms.
• HD webcam; tablets, iPads, Chromebooks not accepted.
