About the role

The Pan American Health Organization (OPS/OMS) is seeking a Community Outreach Assistant to support a project that reduces gaps in sexual and reproductive health rights for women and adolescents in selected municipalities. The role focuses on strengthening coordination among communities, social organizations, local authorities, and health services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support planning of community activities and participatory diagnostics.
• Strengthen links between social organizations, institutions, and health services.
• Facilitate workshops on sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, violence prevention, social participation, and interculturality.
• Promote leadership and participation of women, adolescents, and community actors.
• Support social mobilization, monitor commitments, and conduct community advocacy.
• Prepare reports, systematize experiences, manage databases, and document best practices for project monitoring.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education; training in health, social work, sociology, psychology or related fields is valued.
• At least 2 years of experience in community work, social participation, coordination with organizations, or facilitation of participatory processes.
• Residency in the assignment location.
