Associate Investment Officer – Manufacturing, Agribusiness & Services

About the role

The International Finance Corporation is seeking an Associate Investment Officer to support business development, structuring, and processing of investment projects in Bolivia and the broader Latin America and Caribbean region. Based in La Paz, the role involves frequent travel to Santa Cruz de la Sierra and other LAC countries.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and execute investment transactions across Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services sectors in LAC.
• Participate in the full investment cycle: business development, due diligence, preparation of investment committee materials, negotiation of term sheets and legal agreements, disbursement, and portfolio monitoring.
• Conduct benchmarking and sector research, analyze financial statements, and build financial models.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports, and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain client relationships, provide responsive service, and support portfolio supervision including quarterly reviews.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate or project finance, investment banking, private equity, or related areas.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and research abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in multicultural, emerging‑market environments.
