About the role

We are looking for a Technology Solutions Architect to join our digital transformation team at a leading bank in La Paz. The role focuses on designing innovative, scalable and secure technology solutions that directly support business objectives and the bank’s innovation strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design technology solutions based on clearly identified business needs and problems.
• Define solution architectures following the standards and principles of the Technology Architecture area.
• Ensure alignment of solutions with the enterprise and technology architecture of the organization.
• Guarantee that implementations meet strategic business goals and both functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Apply evolutionary, scalability and sustainability principles when creating architectures.
• Lead architecture and software design definition in coordination with development and architecture teams.
• Promote agile, automated and continuous‑improvement practices.
• Research and propose new technologies, practices and trends to optimise the full software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in solution architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing SOA and micro‑services architectures.
• Background in software development and agile methodologies.
• Experience with container‑based architectures and integration technologies such as SOAP, REST, gRPC and event streaming.

Required skills

• Object‑oriented design, functional programming and reactive application development.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles and software engineering best practices.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and quality‑focused methodologies.
• Design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
• SQL and NoSQL database expertise.
• DevOps culture and practices.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of quality control processes within agile frameworks.
