Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain bottom‑up Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs) aligned with technical, schedule and contractual plans.
  • Forecast and analyze bookings, backlog, revenue, margin, cash flow, funding and working capital; identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with program management, engineering, operations, contracts, supply chain and accounting to improve program performance and support timely decisions.
  • Prepare and present recurring program financial reviews to leadership, communicating performance drivers, forecast changes, risks and required actions.
  • Support proposal pricing and capture activities by evaluating cost, schedule, contract, profitability and cash assumptions.
  • Assist accounting with ASC 606 revenue recognition and compliance with government contracting requirements.
  • Contribute to the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts and long‑range planning by consolidating program outlooks.
  • Develop financial models, dashboards, KPIs and scenario analyses that link program execution to company outcomes.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in program finance or controls supporting DoD, aerospace or other U.S. government contracts.
  • Demonstrated ownership of program financial performance, including EAC/ETC development, variance analysis, cash flow and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of government contract structures (FFP, cost‑reimbursement, T&M) and related financial implications.
  • Ability to operate independently, influence cross‑functional stakeholders and build trusted partnerships.

Required skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel – building financial models, forecasts and executive‑ready analyses.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) and integrated cost‑schedule performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, GAAP and ASC 606 accounting standards.
