Senior macOS Developer

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior macOS Developer to design, build and maintain secure macOS applications and components. The position is remote and based in Bolivia, and focuses on Swift development within the Apple ecosystem, including an authentication platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain secure macOS applications and components using Swift and the Apple development ecosystem.
• Contribute to an authentication platform by integrating identity, authentication and API-based capabilities.
• Apply Apple security best practices and troubleshoot application, authentication, API and macOS issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, identity and architecture teams, using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging and productivity.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Swift and Xcode.
• Hands-on experience with macOS and/or iOS development; strong iOS developers with practical macOS experience will also be considered.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of authentication and identity concepts such as SSO, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT and MFA.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD, software testing and Agile practices.
• Knowledge of AI, generative AI and LLMs, and AI-assisted development tools.

Required skills

• Swift, Xcode, SwiftUI, AppKit and/or UIKit.
• Apple/macOS security: Keychain, certificates, permissions, entitlements, code signing and secure credential handling.
• Preferred: Apple security frameworks (LocalAuthentication, Security.framework, CryptoKit), enterprise Mac tools (Jamf, Microsoft Intune), passkeys/WebAuthn, PKI, Python/Bash/Zsh scripting, and experience in energy, oil & gas or large enterprise environments.
