Remote Spanish-English Medical Interpreter (OPI & VRI)

About the role

This full‑time remote position involves providing Over‑the‑Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) for Spanish‑English medical encounters. You will ensure accurate, impartial communication between patients and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Handle scheduled and on‑demand OPI calls and VRI video sessions.
• Interpret medical histories, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consent information.
• Log sessions and follow established protocols using company platforms.
• Collaborate with coordinators and team members to maintain service quality.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong listening, speaking and comprehension skills.
• Experience in medical interpretation or a related healthcare communication role.
• Familiarity with confidentiality standards such as HIPAA.
• Reliable internet connection and appropriate equipment for remote work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in medical terminology in both languages.
• Ability to perform OPI and VRI interpreting.
• Experience with simultaneous or high‑speed interpretation.
• Comfort using cloud‑based systems and logging tools.
