Python Backend Developer – FastAPI & MongoDB (Remote)

About the role

Join a global team of top‑tier engineers to build and maintain a clinical health‑data pipeline backend. You will work with async Python, FastAPI, and MongoDB to ensure data correctness, security, and interoperability for patient‑facing outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain async backend services using Python 3.12 and FastAPI.
• Design and manage the persistence layer with MongoDB, preferably via the Beanie ODM.
• Implement provider‑agnostic OAuth/OIDC and JWT authentication, integrating with Keycloak and Descope.
• Utilize Docker and docker‑compose, troubleshooting build and runtime issues in containerized environments.
• Contribute to the overall clinical health‑data pipeline and MCP server implementation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python 3.12 and asynchronous FastAPI development.
• Hands‑on experience with MongoDB and async ODMs such as Beanie.
• Deep understanding of OAuth/OIDC flows and JWT‑based authentication.
• Proficiency with Docker, docker‑compose, and container debugging.
• Advanced English communication skills.
