Programme Analyst – Open to internal and external applicants

About the role

Under the guidance of the Deputy Resident Representative, the Programme Analyst is responsible for managing UNDP programmes within assigned thematic and sectoral areas, analysing trends and providing policy advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage UNDP programme activities, including formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, while analysing political, social and economic trends relevant to the portfolio.
• Supervise and lead programme and project staff, coordinating with UNDP country office teams, other UN agencies, headquarters, regional hubs, technical advisors, government officials, donors and civil society partners.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex political, social and economic environments and translate findings into actionable policy recommendations.
• Experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams and coordinating multi‑stakeholder development programmes in an international context.
