Contador Analista de Comercio Exterior

About the role

The Contador Analista Comex will support Inchcape Bolivia’s logistics team by recording and analysing all accounting operations related to foreign trade. This onsite position focuses on import transactions, ensuring accurate tax treatment, cost allocation and compliance with internal accounting schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting entries for import operations, applying relevant taxes and business structures.
• Analyse and monitor supplier logistics accounts, goods in transit, and import expense provisions.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of logistics supplier accounts and close‑out entries.
• Control cost allocation of shipments using the RPA system.
• Maintain a consolidated archive of all import documentation linked to transport documents or corresponding entries.
• Manage tax provisions for merchandise nationalisation in coordination with customs brokers.
• Track and process advance tax payments with customs agencies.
• Schedule payments to logistics suppliers after obtaining approvals from Comex Management and the PO&L Cluster Director.
• Keep transit and expense provision accounts up‑to‑date, adjusting open purchase orders against closed shipments.
• Generate reports for Comex Management and Accounting on adjustments, order ageing, etc.
• Support internal and external audit processes and ensure timely month‑end closures for the Comex area.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in accounting for import costs.
• Strong knowledge of foreign trade accounting movements and import entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in SAP for managing transit and merchandise accounts.
