Program Officer

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Program Officer to support policy and programme activities that address food assistance needs in Bolivia. Based in La Paz, you will work closely with the Head of Office and contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of humanitarian projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development of projects, plans and processes, ensuring alignment with WFP policies and guidance.
• Provide project management support for large‑scale programmes, coordinating with wider WFP initiatives and complying with standards.
• Develop and maintain data‑gathering and monitoring systems, upholding rigorous quality standards.
• Research and analyse policy and operational issues to inform programme design.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on programme performance and outcomes.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in humanitarian, development or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is an advantage.
