Driver for World Bank Bolivia Office

About the role

The Bolivia Country Office of the World Bank Group is seeking a professional Driver to provide safe transport for senior staff and to support a range of administrative and facilities tasks. The position reports to the Executive Assistant and is essential for the smooth operation of the office.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the official vehicle safely, primarily for the Country Manager and other authorized personnel, and maintain the vehicle’s condition through regular checks, minor repairs, and servicing.
• Deliver local office correspondence, handle mail, manage courier services, and support diplomatic pouch operations.
• Assist the Office Facilities Coordinator with internal moves, asset inventory, and simple on‑site repairs of office equipment and furniture.
• Provide transport and logistical support to the Crisis Management Team during emergencies, including operating satellite phones and assisting with fire evacuations.

Required profile

• High school diploma and a valid Category C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 10 years of professional driving experience, knowledge of La Paz roadways, government offices, embassies and traffic regulations.
• Good communication skills in Spanish; English knowledge is an asset.
• Willingness to work after hours, weekends and to provide support during emergencies.

Required skills

• Valid Category C driver’s license.
• Basic auto‑mechanic knowledge for minor vehicle repairs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Operation of office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners and fax machines.
