Software Engineer – Healthcare (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer specialized in healthcare to join our fully remote team. You will design, build, and maintain secure, compliant systems that handle sensitive patient data and integrate with leading Electronic Health Record platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement HIPAA‑compliant backend services for secure PHI handling.
• Develop and maintain integrations with major EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, and AthenaHealth.
• Implement and optimise HL7 and FHIR messaging standards for healthcare data exchange.
• Design robust audit‑logging mechanisms to monitor system access and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate complex healthcare requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Maintain continuous security and performance of health‑tech platforms through proactive monitoring and rigorous testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on healthcare.
• Proven expertise in building HIPAA‑compliant systems and handling PHI.
• Hands‑on experience with EHR integrations and HL7/FHIR standards.
• Proficiency in implementing audit logging and security protocols for health data.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
