Senior Sanity & Next.js Developer (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

WorkO3 World, a Philadelphia‑based digital consultancy, is looking for a senior developer to join its remote LATAM team. You will work on a high‑volume migration from Umbraco to Sanity and continue feature development on existing Sanity‑powered Next.js platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Sanity schemas, including document types, objects, references, and Studio configuration.
• Build Next.js front‑ends that consume those schemas, using GROQ queries, caching, and on‑demand revalidation.
• Write and run migration pipelines that extract content from legacy CMSs and load it into Sanity, converting HTML to Portable Text.
• Maintain redirect maps for large‑scale migrations and implement Figma‑based UI components with full responsiveness and accessibility.
• Leverage AI coding agents to scaffold components, generate schemas, and automate repetitive scripts.
• Set up project instruction files and reusable prompts to make AI agents effective for the team.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and client‑facing technical discussions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven production experience with Sanity schema design and Studio configuration.
• Strong expertise in Next.js (App Router, server components, data‑fetching patterns).
• Solid TypeScript and React skills.
• Hands‑on experience migrating content from legacy CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Umbraco, Craft, Contentful, etc.) at scale.
• Ability to write reusable ETL scripts and run them repeatedly.
• Comfort reading Figma files and implementing designs without exhaustive specifications.
• Clear written communication for asynchronous coordination.
