Senior Full Stack Node.js Engineer (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

Bluelight is seeking a senior full‑stack engineer to design and deliver high‑quality, low‑latency API services for its growing client base. The role is fully remote, focused on the Latin America region, and requires collaboration with US‑based teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Build low‑latency services on AWS, including containerized deployments on Fargate/ECS.
• Integrate third‑party SDKs and create secure multi‑tenant environments.
• Write raw SQL, manage schema migrations, and implement Row‑Level Security in PostgreSQL/AuroraDB.
• Contribute to frontend work with React when needed.
• Implement comprehensive testing, including integration and fault‑injection tests.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and use AI coding assistants in daily development.
• Overlap US business hours to support client‑focused delivery.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend‑focused software development experience.
• Strong expertise with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience building low‑latency API services in AWS.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, Row‑Level Security, and schema migration tools.
• Professional experience with React and full‑stack development.
• Solid testing practices and CI/CD maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree and a mindset of extreme ownership and accountability.
