Remote Spanish-English Medical Interpreter (OPI/VRI)

About the role

This full‑time remote position supports healthcare providers and patients by delivering over‑the‑phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) services in Spanish and English. You will ensure clear, accurate, and impartial communication in medical settings while adhering to confidentiality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret spoken conversations in real time during OPI and VRI sessions.
• Maintain medical terminology accuracy in both languages.
• Document sessions as required and follow scheduling procedures.
• Use company platforms and tools to connect with clients.
• Participate in ongoing training and stay current with medical terminology and best practices.
• Collaborate with coordinators and supervisors to uphold service quality.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong listening and speaking skills in both languages.
• Prior experience as a medical interpreter or in healthcare‑related language services (preferred).
• Knowledge of HIPAA or equivalent privacy regulations.
• Reliable high‑speed internet, suitable computer, and a quiet remote workspace.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
