Intermediate Performance Engineer (Quality Assurance)

About the role

We are looking for an Intermediate Performance Engineer to join Axos Bank’s quality engineering team. In this role you will ensure the reliability and security of our web and mobile banking applications through both manual and automated testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web (UI) and mobile (iOS/Android) platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and fellow QA engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Execute manual test cases, log defects, verify fixes and contribute to sprint activities (planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives).
• Monitor application performance, reliability and compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of software quality assurance experience with a focus on automation.
• Hands‑on experience testing web UI and mobile applications, preferably in the banking or fintech sector.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Selenium or Cypress for UI automation.
• Appium for mobile automation.
• Postman or RestAssured for API testing.
• SQL for test data validation.
• Experience with low‑code automation tools such as Testim (a plus).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum development practices.
