DevTools Engineer (Remote)

About the role

As a DevTools Engineer at BairesDev, you will enhance the software development lifecycle by building and optimizing high‑performance build systems and monorepo infrastructure. You will enable engineering teams to work faster and more reliably through automated, reproducible environments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain large‑scale build systems using Bazel to ensure fast, reliable compilation.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines with Buildkite (or similar) to boost developer productivity and deployment frequency.
• Design and implement hermetic build processes that guarantee consistency across local and remote environments.
• Manage monorepo tooling and strategies for complex codebases and dependencies at scale.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in build and test cycles to minimize developer wait times.
• Collaborate with software teams to automate internal workflows and promote engineering excellence.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevTools Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in managing large‑scale build systems and monorepo tooling.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
