Database Internals Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Join a global team of top‑tier technologists to design and maintain the core of high‑performance data storage engines. You will work at the lowest layers of the software stack, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and scalability of critical database components.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and refine storage engines based on B‑tree or LSM‑tree structures.
• Implement concurrency control, MVCC, and write‑ahead logging for robust recovery.
• Optimize query execution paths to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
• Design distributed replication protocols that guarantee consistency and availability.
• Write thread‑safe, high‑performance code in C, C++, or Rust.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to evolve the next generation of scalable data infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong background in low‑level systems programming.
• Experience with database internals, storage engine design, or similar domains.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
