Agentic Elixir Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an Agentic Elixir Engineer to join our talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients on project‑based assignments. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and developers to deliver high‑quality Elixir applications.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate directly into the client’s team and participate in daily design and development activities.
• Design, implement and maintain RESTful web services and API integrations using Elixir.
• Work with PostgreSQL (or other SQL databases) to build robust data layers.
• Leverage AI engineering tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Gemini CLI to accelerate development.
• Prompt, review and incorporate AI‑generated code, ensuring performance and maintainability.
• Orchestrate AI‑assisted or agentic development workflows and automate engineering tasks.
• Maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and take extreme ownership of deliverables.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience building applications with Elixir.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Proven experience with RESTful services, API integration and PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding tools (OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI) and guiding AI‑generated code.
• Ability to work independently 40 hours per week and meet client expectations.
• Authorization to work in your country; no visa sponsorship provided.
